We Passed!!

We just had all of our final inspections yesterday and we passed!!! Woohoo!! They finished up all the last minute things this week - lighting and heat covers. The carpet people are supposed to come today and hopefully the inspector from the bank. Yay! I am hoping to start moving some things back upstairs this weekend and get rid of the mess we live in right now. :)

Painted Kitchen

On Monday our kitchen was painted. Many of you know we did construction on the kitchen about 2 years ago - new cabinets and fun stuff. We had sheetrock put up over the plaster to help smooth the walls out but never painted. So we had our painter do it for us and I definitely chose sunshine yellow!

Our Bathroom

Here is our bathroom completed. They installed the vanity and toilet and the rest of the plumbing today. It's also been painted already too! Here are some pics - Enjoy!

So Sorry

So I must apologize because I haven't been so great about updating the blog lately. The holidays were extremely busy, then we went to California, and back to work - oh right and pretty much nothing happened for like 3 weeks!

New railing people came on Dec 26th. It took them maybe 2 hours to complete the project and they weren't afraid of Nittany! On the same day, the guy came to measure upstairs to give us a carpet estimate. And Jon's family was visiting. Needless to say it was a busy day!

After that a whole lot of nothing happened! We got another estimate for painting when we got back from California. Since he was cheaper than the first, and a nice guy, we decided to book him. He got started last week on Thursday by painting all the closets and the ceilings. Then yesterday he came and painted the bathroom and the doors. The plan for today is to start painting the master bedroom!!! Yay! (I hope I like the color I picked) Also, the bathroom vanity should be installed today too!! Yay!!

We also went to Home Depot yesterday and bought our carpet and I signed up for a Home Depot credit card! So exciting! haha. Hopefully the carpet will be ready to go by middle of next week - and we might be allowed to actually move into our upstairs by the middle of February! Only a month and a half late. :)
